Welcome to Clinical and Developmental Psychological Services
This service is run by Dr. Olive Kellaghan O'Reilly; an experienced chartered, clinical psychologist who has worked in both health and education sectors for over 25 years. Currently she works with each client to help them and those who care for them understand their strengths, needs and advocates for supports and makes recommendations to aid their optimal development moving forward. Assessments can be tailor made to meet individual needs.
Dr. Olive began her working career in primary education, she moved into specialist education and then into the field of psychology . She completed a first class degree in psychology and subsequently a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Limerick. Understanding and insight into both the education and health services helps her support clients in navigating their unique journey. Dr. Olive is a chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. She now works with individuals from childhood to adulthood in her private practice conducting assessment and consultation services. She aims to help optimise individual understanding and development through her clinical practice.

Psychological Consultations:
These can be held via phone consultation, on-line or in person to discuss specific queries or concerns. Parents and potential clients may also benefit from an initial consultation especially if they are unsure which type of assessment, service or professional(s) may be required to meet their needs. Comprehensive Psychological Assessments:

Services
Dr. Olive offers specialised psychological services tailored to meet individual needs. Her approach is developmentally focused on understanding each individual's strengths and needs. Throughout the assessment process she explores practical and contextual solutions to support day to day optimisation unique to the individual .
Consultations
An initial free 15 minute phone consultation is recommended if you require any clarification as to which assessment is best for you or the person that you are caring for. If you wish to avail of this please leave yor name and number and you will recieve a callback within the week. This consultation can help ensure that you get the best possible service for you.
A longer consulation regarding your reason for referral this can be arranged. These sessions can be helpful for accessing some inital advice or signposting services/supports regarding your specific query. These can be arranged remotely or in person. To book complete the form below.
Comprehensive Assessments
Comprehensive assessments are conducted to identify strengths and needs, with a view to aiding the individuals understanding and progression.
This assessment typically involves:
- Completion of a referral and consent form
- Clinical parental/client interview ( On-line or in person)
- Consultaton with relevant school / workplace staff where applicable and subject to consent ( On-line or in person)
- Administration of relevant questionnaires pertinent to the referral question/ reason
- Assessment with individual child/adolescent/adult ( Typically conducted in-person- unless client requests otherwise).
- Report Writing and Formulation/Feedback session outling assessment findings, diagnosis/diagnoses where applicable
- Full psychological report with recommendations
